Treadstone makes it simple. The journey to custom packaging passes through the following five stages.

1 - Concept

We provide a brief for the project after our first meeting. This document sets out the scope of work, costs and timeline. Once approved we develop concepts and present our ideas as sketches and computer generated form renders, together with an estimate for tooling and manufactured unit costs.

2 - Develop

Detail is added to the concept, and if part of a range, all containers within the family are considered. Computer generated renders showing colour and graphics applied together with physical form models will be presented. Once the design process is completed we will provide a cost for producing the machine tools together with a quote for each manufactured component.

3 - Tool

Subject to client approval of the above costs we will create the custom tooling. Samples from the tools will be evaluated to ensure correct translation of function and design.

4 - Manufacture

When final samples have been approved the packaging will be ready for manufacture. We will provide the pre production samples of each package that illustrate material, colour, shape and decoration. Upon confirmation of your order we will provide a production timeline and begin manufacture.

5 - Deliver

All orders undergo quality control by our inspection team before despatch. Once we are certain it meets your standards, we will organise freight to your designated port or location. We then track the shipment to ensure we meet your delivery schedule.

We make custom packaking in many materials, Paper board, PVC, Acetate, Polyprop, Recycled card and Plastics, Metal, Wood, Perspex, Carbon Fibre, in fact any material you can think of we can make packaging from.

If we cant make it from the actual material required, then we use print effects to simulate any and all materials.

Service:

Our service in Europe is based on an initial informal briefing with the client, where we show plain samples in the relevant materials. After this briefing we put together a proposal for the program. This includes costs for prototypes and costs for mass production on different volumes. Once we have the go ahead for prototypes from the client we proceed with cad drawings for sign off, then printed proofs made up into the size and style of packaging required.

Mass Production:

Once we have sign off on prototypes we proceed to mass production. At this point the client normally visits the relevant factory where the packaging is to be produced. This satisfies the need of our clients to check that all our factories operate in a socially responsible way. Once this process is successful, we become an approved vendor for the client.

What happens next?:

The clients garment makers contact us directly to place orders for the packaging, we produce and deliver the items into the factory ready for assembly fulfilment and shipping.
We have the ability to invoice the garment makers in their own local currency to save time and money.
